The Lodges

Amongst the natural colour and beauty of shrubbery, ponds and rhododendrons that are ovelooked by majestic beeches and pines - we have built Buttermere and Grasmere Lodges, authentic in their creation from proper round logs, all are fully self contained and offer an excellent retreat.

These authentic log cabins nestle amongst the shrubberies and accommodate two to three people. Buttermere and Grasmere Lodges have two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other a single bed. Both have a Shower Room. The Living Room is comfortably furnished and has an adjoining Kitchen area which is fully fitted. Each Lodge is pine-clad, centrally heated and double-glazed with carpeting throughout. The veranda has its own seating - so you can make the most of the incredible Summer Hill garden.

The Apartment

This beautiful two-bedroom apartment, in a Georgian country house boasts stunning views across Morecombe Bay to the front, and the Old Man of Coniston to the rear. It provides a relaxing retreat for up to four people, making it an ideal choice for couples or small families. The local pub is 1 mile away and the property is within easy reach of some of the area’s most popular lakes.

With an open-plan layout, the living accommodation has a light and airy feel. The chic and stylish kitchen will be a hit with the chefs of the family, who’ll enjoy rustling up a meal or snack while their guests chat around the dining table. With muted lighting, soft rugs and sumptuous sofas, the lounge is a lovely area to retreat to at the end of the day. The two elegant and restful bedrooms are both en-suite, with vast windows that allow you to soak up the beautiful views as you wake. Enjoy your morning coffee or evening drink on your private patio outside or take a wander through the extensive shared grounds which surround the property.
